Abdulrahman Alghannam

Abdulrahman Alghannam is an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia, where he focuses on research development, innovation, and entrepreneurship within the cultural and media industries. Alghannam holds a PhD in Film Studies from the Institute for Global Cinema and Creative Cultures at the University of St. Andrews and a Masters degree in Mass Communication from the University of Central Missouri.

His scholarly contributions have been widely published by Routledge, Peter Lang, Gulf Research Centre Cambridge, Frames Cinema Journal, Thmanyah.com, and Khaleejesque platform. Alghannam is also a filmmaker, actively integrating his theoretical knowledge with practical film production.

Alghannam is deeply committed to community engagement. He has initiated and led various projects aimed at enhancing film culture in Saudi Arabia and has participated in national advisory committees focused on integrating film and art education in public schools. These activities underscore his dedication to fostering a rich cultural environment and advancing the arts within educational frameworks.
